Planning a move like ours has many facets. In addition to the planning of the Gouwhaven project, there is the “normal” harbour season (booking winter storage is possible from 1 July) and our own construction activities. Below we indicate the expected activities per month:
– Preloading on the camper site for the new crane track, takes 3 months
– Moving the barrier on Hemmeland to its final location
– New fence around our plot on Hemmeland
– Breakwater installed
– Optimist storage moved to the Roundabout
– Crane track finalized
– Glassfiber connection moved, new water connection
– Moved the capacity of our electricity connection
– All jetties are removed so the harbour is ready for the new ones
– All new jetties are in Monnickendam and connected
– Dinghies moved to the roundabout
– New boatlift is ready
– All boats at their (new) berth
– Connect the new jetties with water and electricity – all electricity is renewed
– Pile driving for the new workshops
– Toilets and showers of the harbour building including a new sewer are finished
– Office is temporarily moved to the old harbour office
– Building the wharf (hardening of the terrain)
– Construction of the new workshop
– Opening of the harbour building
– Clearing out, packing, and moving the sheds
– Placement of the new play ship (or early July)
– Halver Sails, Jachtservice de Waterman, and LW Houtwerk move to the new sheds
On August 28, we will celebrate the port relocation.
