The Dehler 38SQ is a 2021 design by Judel/Vrolijk in combination with Karl Dehler. The yacht is fully equipped for every type of sailor. Think halyards and trim lines can be operated from the cockpit, an electric halyard winch and electric windlass. The double steering wheels create a spacious cockpit with a passage to the fold-out bathing platform (with heated outdoor shower for the Mediterranean feeling). The ship can accommodate up to 8 people and is equipped with 3 double cabins. The galley is equipped with hot water, a cool box and oven. The spacious toilet room with shower is located right next to the cabin entrance.
Innovative in this ship is the finish and layout of the interior space. In addition to the inventive door combination of the bathroom, the ship has a lot of storage space. The navigation area can be moved so that you can easily use the bench as an extra bed. Our Ibis and Lepelaar (2022) are both a Dehler 38SQ, our IJsvogel (2018) is a Dehler 38. The difference between 38 SQ and the “ordinary” Dehler 38 is the fixed bowsprit. The ships are identical in terms of sail area, equipment and furnishings.
The Dehler 38SQ can do it all. From a family sailing holiday to winning a regatta. The ship is fully equipped and always well prepared. There is a list on board that is important to us: we like to read what can be improved on the boat.
The skipper is responsible for the boat and must be able to sail well. When booking we would like to receive information about your sailing experience. We don’t advise to charter this yacht without steering wheel experience. The skipper treats the boat as if it were his/her own.
Preparation is key. To confirm the booking we send the contract, the Hiswa conditions, the house rules and the inventory list by email. A week prior to the charter you will receive the board book by email and a link to our YouTube channel where you can find instructional videos.
This is very easy with our online booking system. But of course you can also contact Waterland for tailor-made advice. Together with you we look for the perfect Dehler, Bénéteau or J/boat for your sailing trip.
