the ideal place for

relaxed sailing trips

The Fox 22 has little draft and a spacious cockpit. This way you can easily explore all corners of the Gouwzee and Markermeer. The halyards and sheets can be operated from the cockpit, so that you can easily sail with a small crew. The Fox 22 was developed by Ottenhome in 2001 and is known as a touring yacht for Friesland. Waterland has 2 Fox 22s in its charter fleet.

Looking for a different outing? Book the Fox22 and a room or apartment from Slapen op de Haven. This way you have wonderful sailing on the Gouwzee & Markermeer with a nice room on the harbor as a getaway.

Frequent sailing

We mainly rent out the Fox 22 as a day sailer. The Fox 22 does not have a toilet or cooking facilities. But we do have a small overnight package (mattresses, pillow, plates & cutlery) so that you can go away for a night or longer. Inquire about the possibilities.

The Fox 22 is also available in subscription form through the “Zeilen zonder Zorgen” (Sailing without worries) project. This is a collaboration between yacht rental companies and sailing schools where you as a tenant have a subscription and you can sail at various locations in the Netherlands with the Fox 22.

Sailing experience

We assume that you can sail and ask you to fill in a sailing experience form. You can sail the Fox 22 if you have keelboat experience. Do you not have this, but do you have experience with dinghies/lasers/Feva’s? Then it will be fine if you are not the only sailor on board and the wind does not increase over 3 Bft. We rent out the Fox 22 per day and the weather forecast can be quite turbulent. Therefore always keep an eye on the forecast and call if you are in doubt.
